I'm sorry, Bella, but I think that "criminal negligence" is unbelievably harsh.

I also strongly believe that the McCann's are utterly innocent of any wrongdoing and I have to say that I really sympathise with them. Their treatment by the police and media has been (generally) appalling and it is that treatment which has resulted in right-minded people believing all sorts of ludicrous conspiracy theories.

I was watching the BBC coverage during on my lunch hour today and it was just amazing - they were literally combing through the police files. Line-by-line they went through them.

I still think the parents should have seen the inside of a courtroom - even if you believe they're innocent (and I'm not 100% convinced), I think they had a case for criminal negligence (imo).

So what's the thought process thats going behind the Great Paint Debate? What are you looking for?

There was a case about a decade ago here in the US in which a girl was killed. It got huge press for years. I don't even want to mention her name for fear it start a new flurry of obsession.
