- I can't believe this nation is still
talkingobsessing over The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann (if it is any reassurance, I just had to check how they spell Her name. I refuse to be a victim of media hype and the Mourning Sickness this country has become alarmingly enamoured with). - Four paint tester pots later, we still haven't come up with a colour to replace the yellow walls of the lounge room.
- One tin of white gloss paint later, we will also be replacing the bedroom carpet.
- And yet he still doesn't choose to divorce me. It must be love. Or perhaps just resignation. I'll take either.

There was a case about a decade ago here in the US in which a girl was killed. It got huge press for years. I don't even want to mention her name for fear it start a new flurry of obsession.
I was watching the BBC coverage during on my lunch hour today and it was just amazing - they were literally combing through the police files. Line-by-line they went through them.
I still think the parents should have seen the inside of a courtroom - even if you believe they're innocent (and I'm not 100% convinced), I think they had a case for criminal negligence (imo).
So what's the thought process thats going behind the Great Paint Debate? What are you looking for?
Tester pots are for the amateur indecisionist! Someone around here has repainted the dining room at least five times in the three years we've lived in this house.
I'm sorry, Bella, but I think that "criminal negligence" is unbelievably harsh.
I also strongly believe that the McCann's are utterly innocent of any wrongdoing and I have to say that I really sympathise with them. Their treatment by the police and media has been (generally) appalling and it is that treatment which has resulted in right-minded people believing all sorts of ludicrous conspiracy theories.
...and, Ian, in our case "tester pots" are very much for the *professional* indecisionist...
Madeline who?
(although I was interested by the revelation that the appartment was not forensically checked until long after the disappearance, and long after all evidence that may have been there was hopelessly contaminated. Now that is negligent)
anyway. Get mulder and scully on the case, that's what I say. You want a conspiracy theory? If it doesn't involve aliens, then it's barely worthy of the name.
