guten morgen

It's Sunday morning and I am currently conducting an experiment which I am making up as I go along.

Earlier (like twenty minutes ago) I snuck into the bathroom for a number two. Mad had been at it since six o'something to "Come out and plaaaay". LB has been checking the clock each time and yelling back "It's too early!". Which means no, you can't. It's Sunday, child. Show some respect for this households traditions of the Sabbath.

Anyway, I managed to sneak into the bathroom without Mad hearing me. I didn't even turn on the light. I had my number two (very satisfying, thanks) but was then met with the rather obvious fact that I was going to have to flush. No doubt about about that. If it's brown, flush it down.

I realised this would probably give the game away to Mad, who I figured would just come out of her room and demand to be entertained the second she realised one of us was up.

I was wrong. After flushing and washing my hands, I hesitated briefly on the landing, considered going back to bed, but decided to run the gauntlet and come downstairs, fully expecting to hear Mad come following after.

Wrong again.

She is currently upstairs and while it sounds like she is remodelling the house up there, she isn't bothering any of the adults directly. Which, especially for those of you who have children in your life, we know is a Win.

Uh oh! 8.31am and the last "Can I come out and play?" has been shouted with a barely audible grunt of an "OK" as a reply.

And people willingly decide to do this?

Was it a multi-warhead number two, or a single massive megaton jobby?

Just interested.

My parents put a digital clock in my room at a very young age, and told me I couldn't come out until the first number was 7 or 8 or whatever. According to them, it worked wonders. No more shouting to see if I could come out, as I could figure it out for myself.

Although that took most of the fun out of it for me, of course. ;)
